Bauerfeind AchilloTrain is a knitted Achilles tendon support with a friction pad along the Achilles tendon and a heel wedge, which according to Bauerfeind relieves Achilles tendon discomfort. The support conforms to the foot and follows its movements without slipping.

  • Structured pad along the entire Achilles tendon that massages during movement
  • Heel wedge that relieves the Achilles tendon
  • Skin-friendly, breathable Train knit with medical compression
  • Elastic edges and a soft comfort zone over the instep
  • Donning aid and heel wedges for shoes included
  • Six sizes in Titan or Black

Support and relief for the Achilles tendon

Bauerfeind AchilloTrain is a medical support brace with a friction pad and heel wedge that, according to Bauerfeind, relieves Achilles tendon problems. According to the instructions for use, it is used for achillodynia (tendinosis, peritendinitis and subachilleal bursitis), Haglund's heel, and chronic irritation as well as irritation following injury or surgery, for example in cases of Achilles tendon ruptures.

Pad and heel wedge working together

The pad has a structured surface that follows the tendon along its entire length and stimulates both the tendon and the muscle-tendon junction. When you move, it provides, according to Bauerfeind, a massage effect that promotes healing.

Around the foot, the knitted fabric is short so that it does not press against the fifth metatarsal. Above the ankle is a soft comfort zone with an offset seam that helps prevent skin irritation, while the elastic edges ensure that the support does not cut in.

Train knitted fabric that stays in place

The anatomically shaped Train knitted fabric is skin-friendly, highly elastic and breathable. It adapts precisely to the shape of the foot and follows every movement without slipping. Built-in grip pockets make the support easier to put on.

Material composition according to the manufacturer: silicone (SI), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), polyamide (PA), elastane (EL), cotton (CO), polyurethane (PUR) and polyester (PES).

Sizes and colours

AchilloTrain is available in Titan and Black and in six sizes. The size is selected according to the circumference around the ankle:

  • Size 1: 17–19 cm
  • Size 2: 19–21 cm
  • Size 3: 21–23 cm
  • Size 4: 23–25 cm
  • Size 5: 25–27 cm
  • Size 6: 27–29 cm

More options can be found among our supports for Achilles tendinitis.

How to put on the support

Use the included donning aid and follow the quick guide. Grip it from the inside with your thumbs in the grip recesses at the top and pull the support over your foot until your heel rests in the blue knitted wedge. Check that the Achilles tendon is well embedded in the pad.

For greater relief, place the included heel wedges in your shoes, flush with the heels of the shoes - always in both shoes to prevent misalignment. To remove the support, pull it from the top down over your foot so that it turns inside out.

Care

Wash at 30 °C and follow the care instructions on the sewn-in label - regular care preserves its effectiveness. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, heat or cold for prolonged periods, and avoid contact with greasy or acidic substances, ointments and lotions.

In the package

One (1) Achilles tendon support in the selected size and color, a donning aid, and heel wedges to place in the shoes.
